I saw a similar image on dpchallenge but I like yours better Jano. Well done! CJ

This has got the complete package...DOF, composition, colors, soft lighting. Great job Jano. - RK

I agree with the many compliments - great background color, sharp stop motion of the drop, and nice composition with the angle of the faucet head. As far as DOF - I like the shallow field here - it really helps to create the 3D space of the macro world. Well done!! - angioman

I love the reflection and the color of the background. The shape of the drip is interesting too and the light makes it sparkle.

Came out really good Jano!
Apart of the handicap of noise of the higher iso+shaprening and jpg artifact I am liking this one a lot.

Like you say Jano for its use on the web it does look better. Geez using the picy for a background works a treat, good thinking megirl.

Thanks CoAm :) jano

Thanks Tom, Sueanne, Maryanne and Julie. This is sharpened probably beyond my liking, but works for a web presence. Do you ever get into a shooting, and not think beyond what light is available? That's what I did. Should have thought, a little more DOF. This is shot in a dark room... only light is the off cam flash to the left of the cam. I will try again, and I think I know now what AV needs to be used. But hey...this is all about learning right? I was using manual, so it's all a learning xp. :) jano

This is great Jano. I rather like the narrow DOF forcing the farthest part of the faucet OOF. Excellent. -COAmature

I like the warm colors, the DOF is fine by me, the size & shape of the drop is amazing.

Wonderful Jano. Julie

This looks really good, Jano. I agree with Rod, though, about the shallow DOF. Maybe you want to try it again with a smaller aperture. But it's still nice as is.

Thanks all for commenting! Rod - how is this? I sharpened it up a bit - this was shot in a mostly dark room with off camera flash to the left. Perhaps I should have upped the av a bit, but I had the ISO pretty high I thought.... The background is a photo from one of my photo mags. jano

I really like the overall look of the tap against the background with the noise graduations looking really good. This has far more interest than the water drop picys, well done. Why did you shoot at F2.8? It gives a very narrow DOF & makes the water drop look soft even though the reflection in it seems to look right. I did a sharpen onit & it seems to have come up OK, it's in Pending.
