This is wonderful, Lydia. The flowers are sharp and soft at the same time...very pleasing.

Thank you, Carole and Penny!
Thanks, Tom!! I used to do scrapbooking (before digital) and do this kind of thing on paper/with paper all the time. So, I guess I've studied/practiced with it so long that now I'm a 'natural' (if that can be called 'natural'). *grin*
Once I went digital with my photos, the scrapbooking sort of fell by the wayside... and I don't do anything with my photos except show them to y'all. *sigh*
I do occasionally make a mypublisher.com book when they have a coupon special. *smile* ~Lydia

Very nice resolution to the "circle in the square" problem and a pleasing balance of colors. Either you are studying or you're a natural. -tv

Thank you, aam. I set the item on a table, two legs of the tripod parallel with the table and a few inches away. Then I tilt the tripod off of the third leg and rest the other two legs on the edge of the table so I can shoot straight down.
If it's a really tall thing, I'll stand on a chair to see the viewfinder. It's also handy to have the 40D's live view mode when in awkward angles. ~Lydia

How did you manage to shoot it straight head down. Been trying that for years but never succeeded.

Beautiful as always.
