This was taken at the Heiwa no Hikari, or Peace Illumination Festival in
Itoman City, Okinawa (site of the final fight of the Battle of Okinawa during
WWII). It's actually a very tall monument draped with strings of lights.
There are supposed to be 1,300,000 lights at the festival, one for each
person living in Okinawa.
