Thanks Mikey, I saved wot you wrote in the main thread & will try it out. The main problem for me is it looks like you have to be real brainy to do this:-)

As tv said, 'in you face' indeed. Great shot, it just cracks me up!

OK, Rod ... trying to add a gold star to your "Photoshopper" badge, eh? Well, I hope this helps ":^), ...You're sort of right. I do a "Lucis-like" conversion using ACR on the RAW file. If you want I can send you a descripton of *how to* via email. First I go thru all the color manipulations on the RAW and save to .JPG then convert to B&W in PSCS3. The colors get so weird that the B&W does too. This is a "tame" version. Just having fun in PS. You know me. Oh, yah, and a fisheye, too. ":^D) Cheers, -mikey

Cmon Mikey give us a clue....Is the face done wiv the HDR type thingy?

That Tokina fisheye gives new meaning to "in your face". Brilliant use of the lens and post processing brings out every weather worn nook and cranny. -tv

All I can say is WOW - such detail looking right at me.

LOL, really scary, Mikey! Actually, it is a wonderful portrait, even though it doesn't look a bit like you. It's very dramatic, the eyes being particularly intense. Excellent work! ~Sharon

Wow, Mikey... obviously, I didn't even recognize you. I think with a small crop off more of the forehead it will work just as well as reshooting. As Lonnit says, "If you're gonna break a rule, smash it to smithereens so it doesn't look like an accident." (not a direct quote) I love it! ~Lydia

Can you tell us how you got this effect Mikey. I have a couple of portraits of Mereana to work on:-)

Gawd, CJ!! I can't stop laughing ..kkk...Marlice just came in and we started again. LOL. Well, I always have said I had "bad skin". Yes, Brent, it does. I guess it was supposed to (go figure)... Hey, Lydia, its my head!! Who else would let me make a fool of them this way? I think I'll try and reshoot this tomorrow and maybe I'll get more of the top. Cheers,
ctfchallenge16-Mar-2008 02:24
Man, where's the botox! Actually, I think a crop down to the first....uh...wrinkle above the eyes might look "good"....and I use the term loosely! :-D This is a real hoot Mikey - you're very brave to process your picy this way as I know you're a very handsome man! :-) CJ

Great job Mikey! With this wide angle and contrast your nose looks like a big potato ;-)
~Brent

Ha! I love it! The tiny body and the huge head... wonderful! I wish there were more of the top of his head... but not enough to mark you off on the test, Mikey. *grin* I love the nooks and crannies of his face. ~Lydia

LOL, Rod!! Have you seen Robert Redford lately? So, now you know the "real" me, eh? Well watch out! I've got my eye on you...mate!! "B^D). Cheers, -mikey ... p.s. If you think this isn't processed I'll have to take away your "Photoshopper" badge.

At last the real Mikey. All we've seen so far is Mikey as he comes out of PS looking like Robert Redford. I will show this to me missus as she couldn't understand why Mikey is so good looking & I'm really ugly. Your unprocessed work is to be commended Mikey,Well done mate:-)
