wonderful shot - count those feathers!! Love this. Have found that I am getting a crick in my neck though as keep coming back to it and find I naturally am turning to look at it side on. Will send you the chiropractor bill! - claire

Wonderful lighting on this one, Doug. I'm impressed that you're braving the cold temps to get some photos for the challenge. It's so cold here that I don't know if I'll have any for Eligible.

Opps, sorry I forgot the verb "IS". Still so damn good picture.
Is "damn" a bad word? English is not my first language as some of you know.

Thanks for the comments guys. This was taken with the kit 18-55mm lens and is almost straight out of the camera. I did crop it just a bit closer but not much. My son and I were feeding ducks so there were a few of these doing fly bye's nice and slow making it easy on me. Close enough to me that I was shooting with my mouth closed. -Doug

Very well done Doug & at only 55mm, not much chance to get out of the way if it did a you know wot:-) The lighting & details look very good too but not entirely natural looking, which can happen in some kinds of light. Well done mate.

I wish I were a bird and could fly at this angle. Oh - and nice details, by the way!
