Thanks Rod,
(I almost didn't get this shot as they were very quick to fly away when I approached them on the ground)

CJ,
Yes a big pest to farmers as they have to eat too but already, my hubby said they probably ate his winter wheat so that won't come up in the Spring & they leave droppings all over and eat the corn when planted freshly. :(

That's a lot of geese Sue Anne and I like seeing the farm to show where they like to eat. Are they a pest to farmers? CJ

Lovely picy Sue Anne, I quite like the empty space up top as it gives the flock a nice pattern. Well done megirl.

Thanks -
Bruce - if the whole top frame was covered, it'd be a clutter shot :)
I did try the cropping it but some of my better geese are at the top picture.

Thanks Claire, Penny and TV and yes we sent them your way but lately they have been in the fields around here eating Winter wheat and corn from the fields. And farmers really say these are the 'pesty' birds.

I like the small farm and the big sky. And lots of birds for excitement.

now I know where all the birds are! Like the contrast of the stillness of the ground and the frenzy in the air - claire

Lotsa birds. Yikes. The farm is a great setting too. My only quibble is that the top of the frame is kinda empty. Maybe a 16x9 crop? -- Bruce
