Thanks Mary Anne and Penny. Especially with the noise they made it did seem like I was in a Hitchcock movie being there. I expect one of the hotel guests came near the window and spooked the birds at the lighted room where there aren't many birds Penny.

Right - this has an Alfred Hitchcock feel - maybe "Rear Window" except that this is definitely not Greenwich Village.. (did you notice the one with all the light that has no birds?)
