Some sharpening would indeed go a long way here.
Normally have the contrast and sharpness set one notch below the middle, in the in camera settings.

I like the comp best here. nice coverage of the floral in a 2x3 format, what appears to be more of an 1x1 subject. The details are great too and sharpening will surely help. :)
