BW Lily

21207

Some of you might have seen the colored version in CSLR, processed from the raw original.
This is the jpg original of the same shot: http://www.pbase.com/cslr_challenge/image/83935615/original
Processing done for the colored version is a little crop to make the subject bigger and sharpening.

Point to note: The camera settings for sharpness, contrast, saturation etc do not affect the original raw. This also has BW with red filter on (I think). I was looking for something on my hard disk I had taken jpg for with camera settings and processed the raw, luckily I found this one.

Canon EOS 20D ,Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM
1/250s f/22.0 at 70.0mm iso100 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Ironically, color flower shots seem sooo conventional while a b&w rendition provides abstract qualities that make the resulting image far more compelling for me. This is outstanding although pp could make it more snappy. -tv
