grid

Because I shoot in JPEG & do little PP, the biggest challenge I have been coming up against is not being able to crop.
Not being able to crop meant this shot needed to be framed just so.

Canon EOS 40D ,Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS
1/8s f/11.0 at 85.0mm iso3200 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Thanks all for the comments. This drove me crazy getting it squared-up, not knowing if it's even square to begin with. It's a space heater; the heating elements are inside with another grate behind (thus the repeated grid pattern). I placed an infrared lamp behind for the contrasting red-hot glow.

It's easy to get used to the cropping power with all these MP's at our disposal isn't it? This one is busy with pattern from corner to corner and needs no crop. -COAmature

Can't exactly understand what it is.. but I find it very intriguing abstract!! Tom. Layers of thing hiding behind the initial layers....

I love overlaying designs like this. (Fujimugs is having a "Rouge et Noire" challenge where this would fit well too. -tv

Nice abstract design, Tom. I can visualize it as a painting.
