How the heck did you get this kind of saturation out of the G9? ~ Lonnit

Very nice Brent. I think the PowerShots were made for this challenge & the G9 is tops in that line. Captures the highlights & still gets the detail throughout, beautiful. I always say, "it pays to look up once in a while."

I have been impressed with my G9 too, Brent. I just like the rich color; soft green, impossible to render gold, the wood, and many interesting shades of blue. These are very pleasing color combinations with some unusual patterns. Very good job to capture it so perfectly. John

Thanks CJ, Tommy and Cat :-) I shot something a little different here some time ago (good memory Cat) with my dSLR and happened by the place again with my little G9 in hand and thought I would give it a whack. I was surpised the G9 sensor handled the highlighted areas as well as it did.

Great one Brent. I remember seeing something from this theater a while back from you. This is equally well done!

I keep looking at this.. pulled in at every pass. The problem is I can't say easily why. Dramatic lighting, great colors, good techincal execution of a difficult subject. Soo.. I think the attraction is it the balance between the strong archectctural forms and lighting and the competing repetitive forms of blue and gold in the ceiling. Anyway very well done. -tv

Thanks much all :-) I'm not sure how the show was Penny- this is just the entrance that I happened to be walking by. I'm not that steady Doug; I used a Gorillapod on top of a post to do the long exposure.

Nicely done. I'm not sure how you pulled off a 1 sec shutter time in a theater. Maybe just a very steady lap? -COAmature
