Lovely image Brent with great color and composition. I am really liking what that G9 can do - I may have to get one!
So sorry to hear you are having to start over :-( Hope everything works out for you. CJ

I wish to have some of that. Nice scrolling down gives it a long cool effect of the heater.

Have some Tupperware mugs like this - Never would have thought they made for great pics Debi

Nice work Brent. Looks delicious. -COAmature

Whoops, guess I misunderstood the rules about the necessity for the long side to be 800 pixels. I have made a correction and those with smaller screens can scroll away if they like ;-)

Nice comp Brent, great idea and color, mixed with humor and warmth. Yes, you still have time to get it to 800pix, sooner the better :) -Cat

Clever title and warm wishes to you in your new digs! - However, I thought that Cat said "All photos must be resized to 800 on the longest side, regardless of the format." So why the 700? - Kelly

Thanks so much Sharon. I'm doing okay and gradually getting settled into my new place. I have to say I really miss seeing the dogs on a regular basis although I've gotten in some nice trips to the dog park with them a couple of times.

Well, this piece of Fiestaware works really well in this shot, old or new. It can be a pain starting over, I hope it goes easily for you. All the best! ~Sharon

Thanks Rod, yes the crop isn't what I would use if I could PP. But the normal aspect ratio would have included distracting elements on either side of the radiator that I can't clone out without breaking the rules. Maybe I should have made it 800 pixels tall so the proper cropping would natually occur within the viewable area on most monitors ;-) -like Tommy had just posted as I first wrote this.

It looks very well done... good colors, exposure, composition.. but I can only appreciate it by scrolling. Maybe that should be a topic sometime. (naaaa...) -tv

Excellent picy Brent but I'm not keen on these DVD crops.

Thanks Sharon, this is a good type of subject to be shooting while the weather is stormy :-) That is a Fiestaware mug, but it isn’t old. I just moved out on my own again a couple of weeks ago. I still haven’t been able to locate some of my kitchen stuff from my former bachelor days, but I did find some old Fiestaware that I could thankfully still buy new settings and pieces to supplement. I gave up trying to find my frying pans and finally got some new ones yesterday (about to make pancakes for breakfast!). At least I can take advantage of post Christmas sales to get all this stuff I suddenly need :-)

This is delightful, Brent! And a totally different take on a cup! Is this old Fiestaware? We use it but I don't think we have any mugs. I love the colors and repeating patterns (mug handle and curves on the radiator). Good work! ~Sharon
