don't overexpose when shooting colour on colour
don't use partial focus if there is little detail in the main object
...did it all to get this soft feeling from a hard object

I like this. It is exactly the opposite of what I would do. If there is little detail I would work hard to make sure it was sharp ... maybe even using a sharpener to go overboard. Thinking of using over exposure to extreme is quite unusual. Nice. John
