I don't need to know what color it originally was. I can assume it was greyish steel, but I can't know for certain. What I do know is what you told me - that it is not it's original color. That tells me you made it this color. I do not care for these colors in this image. I can only surmise that I would prefer natural metal shades to this, based on the assumption that it was natural metal shades. The best I can figure is that you intensified the blue tones in natural steel colors, and that the rough, magenta areas are rust - hence rust-colored. My main point being that the colors feel unnatural, and hence, I don't care for the unnatural feel of the colors. It seems forced - because it is. :) LOL! ~ Lonnit

Thanks, Lonnit, tv & Rod.
Lonnit - If you don't know what it looked like before the saturation, how can you know the color doesn't add? Maybe you just don't like the color, eh?

Yah, Tommy, its a finger masher alright, tho it never moves any more. There was a time ...

Rod - The check's in the mail, right? ";^D)

Cheers, -mikey

In case you missed it Mikey Lonnit is referring to how I copied & pasted your blurb for this picy & used it on one of me parrot picys:-) Lonnit was thinking it was one of the ones you "sold" me:-)

Such a wild contrast between other worldly colors and earthly machinery. You're on a creative binge lately, Mikey. This has "danger" written on it - keep your fingers away.. -tv

Hmmm... sounds a bit familiar! Next time you sell your homework, make sure YOU got to use it first! LOL!
Broken, justified, qualified. I don't agree with you, BTW. I don't think the color adds - we all have different taste. :) ~ Lonnit

Thanks for commenting, folks. John - "Lifeless Colorado skies" is definitely an oxymoron, my friend. We have a saying here in CO, "If you don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes." One think our skies is NOT, is "lifeless". These are big and old, not moving any more, gears. That is a 12" wide belt drive pulley to the right of the gears. We'll see about the "approval". Time will tell. Cheers, -mikey

Mikey, this more interesting blue doesn't impart the cold to me like a more lifeless Colorado overcast sky blue does. Not gray but that gray that has a hint of blue. I do like the image for just its toughness. If you have one that has movement this close, I think I would want to make sure my hands were safe from those crunching gears. John
