I drive by this house everyday ... guess his shade tree didn't make it.

It is sad to see the old trees go down but sometimes very necessary - good idea John! CJ

I know of this house in Allen. These people had severe winds that had damaged the limbs so bad that it could have fallen on the home.

This is a HDR shot in that I combined 2 of the 3 shots in the bracket. The sun was bright yard was dark and I wanted to capture the reflection of the backside of the trees in the window because they looked like a ghost of a memory of the trees from the owner's point of view. I felt it was too big a stretch to only keep the logs in front and the reflection and not show the tree at all. I combined the lighter image in CS2 but with 60% masking to keep the realism. Should I crop everything right of the reflection window for better emphasis? John

Can't remember what tree this was but it was a faster growing vs hardwood ... more like 40 ft in 20 years. John

yes, it's sad to see a neighbourhood change like this. but best to deal with a big dying tree before it's too late. We've had several ~70ft trees on our street knocked over by high winds over the years - b.c.

100 years worth of growth erased in an hour. Better than a branch falling off and crashing through one of those windows I suppose. -COAmature

Drove by today and see that he has decided. This tree has been slowly dying for awhile. Is he going to be sad this next summer. John
