Nice leading lines John with great colors and this would even look good in B&W too! :-) CJ

Cool ! This is a dump rake, it looks almost like a John Deere - perhaps fixed up and painted. Great find and like the leading lines of the fence. Nice :)))

My co-worker, Ed, informs me that this is a Dump Rake. When he was young he used to follow his dad pulling him with the tractor ... when it was full of loose hay he would push the pedal and the tines would lift, dumping the hay in a pile. He said the action was rather dramatic and his dad rigged up a rope that you could pull from the tractor so that you could safely ride aboard the tractor. He guesses that this would not be a problem if it were pulled by an animal. John

Thanks all. I guess it was worth squatting down holding my breath (1/60s) for 3 shots. The board that is missing bottom right is warped to 90 deg toward the right ... too interesting to include in the shot. You're right, Mary Anne it is not a plow. Rod, I am now using contrast -1 as a standard setting in the SD800 ... it accommodates more dynamic range. John

I have to drive the car - well after I learn how to - my husband refuses to stop for my creative inspirations :) _ Debi

Now you're becoming an artiiiiiiiiiist mate this is really well composed. The overcast sky (as long as it's not too drab) is great for colour shots like this as the sensor can handle the dynamic range & the colours saturate nicely.

I like the green and yellow also, but I'm not sure it's a plow. We'll have to let Sue Anne enlighten us on that.

This one is my favorite. It has nice balance and the fence on the right not only directs you to the plow but acts as a barrier keeping you from leaving the scene. -COAmature

The bright yellow wheels and seat called to me when I was passing by. I got a "You've got to be kidding me!" from my wife as I turned around. John
