Thanks guys. I took a few in this set (warm water cold air) but the opportunity didn't last long. This is my favorite although there is another with chairs all lined up along the river that could come in handy (should have used it for patterns). John

Picturesque river looks like is benefits from private ownership. Nice atmosphere too. -tv

Thanks Rod. Another interesting thing is that right at the "end" of this picture (down river) is that crazy looking house called "Toad Hall" that is built with river rock that I submitted in cluttered compositions. You can't see it because it is just behind the tree. John

What baffles me about the Guadalupe River is that it is privately owned by thousands. As long as they keep the water flowing, they can do most anything. Fifty feet upriver to the left, they have dammed it to make an awesome swimming "hole" for the resort "River Inn", with diving boards and canoes. However, each owner in their own way has left enough of the natural beauty to make it still pretty. John
