Good comments already tell the story. Excellent entry. The patches of solid color in the boxcars make it special. -tv

thanks Maurice, aam(again) and CJ. I do have lots of tighter framed shots of containers (I'll be ready if there's ever a shipping container challenge) but I purposely chose this one with the buildings in the b/g thinking it fit the requirements of the theme better ie. regarding mismatch and incongruity of items - b.c.

What a great colorful shot b.c.! I like the blocks of color so much that I think it might look even better if the paler top part is cropped off. Maybe it's good to leave it for a little contrast, but then again, maybe not! Good one either way! :-) CJ

Maurice knows what's he talking about.

This works very well, its a busy shot with interest and detail right to the edges, there is no natural place for the eye to rest. The sunlit coloured blocks enhance the image.

thanks aam. good idea, I'll try playing with the saturation and contrast a bit. actually I was having a heck of a time getting the file size down below the 150k limit, so I was concentrating on that...
As for exposure, well no secret here that I know of :) and certainly not a master. other than always be looking at the lighting and know what your meter is doing, I suppose. thanks again - b.c.

Excellent. Would be nice if you can increase color saturation a bit. While you are at it (if you elect to) you might want to lower the exposure just a tiny bit too. Still excellent regardless.

Btw, and judging from your other entry (the shoes) you seem to master the exposure. What's your secret.
