Well, the pine cone was found and it does show a pattern.
But yes, it was posed for the shot. Too much artistic licence? :-)

Very nice shot mate but the topic is found patterns/repetitions this looks like a set up shot isit? The other problem is this looks more like a shot of a pine cone than a shot of a pattern. If you think that statement is a bit weird I won't explain it again as it takes too long but it's fully explained in the main thread & under some of the other shots:-)
