Yes I like the change, goodun Mary Anne. Sometimes I think the more subtle sunrises & sunsets makes for a more quality picy than the boots n all over coloured shots we sometimes post.
Thanks for your suggestions, Rod and Britt. I've played with the contrast, hopefully not pushing it too far. Any better? BTW this is the sunRISE. I was hoping the sun would rise gloriously over the distant hills, but it just slipped over the horizon without any fanfare.

I agree..if the contrast were a bit darker the patterns would really pop out. Great composition with the curves of the hillside and the sunset. Nice! Britt
