Now updated with a worked over version to clone out the ghosts and add highlights. -tv

That explains it Tommy I thought it was strange you trying layers & masks in Photoshop:-) Was the window tinted? I did some dodging on it to lighten some of the lighter parts of the clouds & put it in pending.

Rod is correct in that no PP was required except to clone out some obvious flare. This was shot through a hotel window which produced the ghosting, unfortunately. I can't think of anything to do about that. -tv

My monitor isn't bright & I can see the misalignment too so I don't know wot black magic our Tommy performed on this shot. I wouldn't have thought a sky like this would need any post processing magic, just a polish is all that's needed to keep a natural look which has been lost here. The clouds down towards the horizon look a bit strange. Can you post a downsized version of the original in pending so we can see wot problems needed to be overcome? It looks like a great sky you have captured here.

Great picture. Very dramatic contrast.

One thing though. There is a faint ghost image above all the clouds. My monitor is set fairly bright, so it is quite visible to me. I'm guessing one of your layers got misaligned during post-processing.

Great contrast. Did you use polarizer filter or what?
