The perspective here is a little ambiguous. We can't tell how big that tree is with its puny proportions. It confuses our brains that want to think this is a hugely scaled rock formation of some great canyon. That's why the old landscape painters and photogs usually put a human or some other known object in the frame to establish clearly the scale of the other objects. -tv

Rod, I used only one reference line, the vertical tree, for the comp. I am guesing the non-horizontal parallel lines on the top strata of the red peak is playing tricks on you. Also the voluptuous shape of the mount due to the angle of the shot is adding to it by making the seepage trails of water running down look tilted.

This seems similar to Antelope Canyon, where there are some amazing coloured rock formations! is it nearby?

For some reason this seems out of balance it's not sitting well wiv me ole eye's but I can't see why.
