Thanks Maurice and Tommy, I think I have the color working better here now.

You continue to have an eye for motion/angles within the frame that in this case enhances the topic with "fire" in the sky. Great composition and perspective add to the impact of the lines in the clouds. The foreground provides an appropriately earthy counterpoint. Excellently executed. -tv

I do like both versions and the light looks great! It may be worth trying a histogram adjustment to get more contrast in the foreground and the sea.

Thanks for the comments Doug and Mary Anne. Unfortunately I have to head in to work even though it is Labor Day :-( But I might try working with the color version later when I can make some time.

I also prefer the color version, Brent, although I think I would warm it a bit, esp. the sand and vegetation in the foreground.

I must say that I like the color version better. It has such a phenomenal sky that is somewhat muted in this version. -COAmature

Thanks Tom :-) I can't tell you exactly what I did with the processing here, but I think I used a magenta filter and messed with various color channels a bit. I put the color version in pending if you would like to see it-
