Ha-ha, no beans for these guys. They actually cooked a chicken in a cast-iron roasting contraption, and we were told that it was delicious. Someone's daughter is apparently an experienced camper and put the whole thing together for them. One of the re-enactors lifted the lid to show us the remains, and it smelled wonderful!

Thanks, Barry, Sue Anne, and Doug. I had to crop off the vehicles parked in the background and a more modern cast iron cooking oven in front. Unfortunately, I missed them cooking their meal...the water's getting heated to wash the dishes.
