I laid my iPod on my desk and used just the overhead room lights. I experimented with the camera at different angles and different things in the reflection, but decided that the reflection of my wall would work just fine (Yes, my walls are blue with white spongepainting).
I used Photoshop to adjust levels, remove scratches from the iPod, and I also burned it in in two spots.
