Jano, thanks to you I have by far the best photo-slideshow screensaver in the office! Thanks for another great addition to that ... this one and also "Blow"! :-)

Wow thanks Lonnit - coming from you, I consider your words quite a compliment. Never mind that man behind the curtain :)

Yes, I upgraded to the 5D for these reasons although not inclusive: 1. Low light ability; 2. Able to shoot in burst mode at a high rate of speed using RAW; 3. able to use a wide range of lenses; 4. bulb exposure for some star images I hope to achieve someday; 5. to grow as a photographer; 6. my research showed the 5D to be rich in detail and color; 7. to one day earn some money as a portrait photographer; 8. to learn learn learn and keep learning;9. to keep up with Lonnit :); 10 full frame; 11. ability to have large prints (which I love); ... probably some other reasons lurking that I can't think of now.

I've taken plenty of pics with the 5D which prove it is not the camera but the skill of the photographer as many of turned out so badly that I wonder what the heck I'm doing with this cam. Other images keep me going and I know every day is a challenge to learn something new about the cam (dslr in general) and about photography. I got the cam for the right reasons and for the right type of photography I'm interested in and no, it doesn't make me a better photographer. I'm bound and determined to keep learning and that's that - and it's as simple as that. Last but not least... I had the Pro1 before and although a great camera for its purposes and my learning curve when I got it .... it was time for me to xp the dslr world because I felt I couldn't expand and was limited. I don't necessarily think you'll see any major differences right now in photography style...but maybe an improvement in the type of images I am able to successfully shoot and obviously IQ. I hope all that makes sense? I think ultimately it all boils down to creativity anyway. jano

Ahhh, is it the camera upgrade that made a difference? What were you shooting with before. I don't mean to imply that it's a better camera that makes your work better; what I mean is that sometimes equipment that we have outgrown is holding us back. That was my issue with the 10D, and why I upgraded to the 5D. ~ Lonnit

Jano's shots look more manly now she has a blokes camera:-)

Jano, no pun intended, but you've really come on strong recently. You're eating your wheaties or something. :) Whatever it is you're doing, keep doing it b/c you've really stepped up your game and taken it to a whole new level. You should be very proud of yourself! Kudos to you. I'm not just talking about this image. It's a consistent thing now that your images stand out in the field. ~ Lonnit

Thanks all for commenting... I told Amber that if we got the shot I was aiming for (the blow shot) we would celebrate. Obviously we went shoe shopping and I guess that's how I pay my little model (bribe her with shopping lol) She thanks you all for the nice comments. She is a trooper and without her, this would not have been done. jano

another really nice one.

I changed the title to be a little more different than my picture. Not sure if the caps will make the voting both go crazy.
