This does have an impact with the strong color on top of black. Funny Rod with the 11 comment. I guess your refering to Spinal Tap? -COAmature

Barry, better continue the discussion in the main thread. No need to distract from you (wonderful) photo.

Aam, I use DPP to convert all my RAW files to JPEGs. I always get the pic looking as good as possible using DPP before I convert and continue processing with Elements (if necessary). I don't remember if I did a curves adjustment on this one; I'll go back and check.

If you are using DPP then check out Curves adjustment, if you don't already. Just recently been using it and I love it. It does wonder to color sat. and contrast.

Btw, there is a Raw converter for PSE, it's called Adobe Camera Raw (ACR). Just added it to my PSE 4.0 few days ago. People swear by it but I prefer DPP. It is free from Adobe.

I always shoot in RAW Aam but I have to convert to JPEG before I bring it into Elements since Elements doesn't open RAW files.
aam1234 07-Aug-2007 15:39
Do you shoot Raw or jpeg, Barry.

I'm using Elements so I think my scale is different from the "real" Photoshop scale. I already bumped this up to 27 on my scale and if I go to 28 it starts blowing out the highlights. I'm afraid if I mess this pic up He won't save my place for me ;-)

Yes Barry just whang that saturation whang bar all the way up to 11:-)

Really like it.
As Tom suggested, you may want to play with colors a bit (Curves tool will do well here).

This is nice Barry. For the sake of the challenge, you might want to kick those colors up a notch?
