I agree with others- very cool image Maurice. I'm curious to try out that test for IR sensitivity using a TV remote on my cameras.

Thanks for the comments.
The IR filter is a Kood R72, which I bought intitially to see what results I would get. I will upgrade to a Hoya R72 which hopefully will have better clarity. The S3 seems fairly sensitive to IR but need 8s - 12s shutter speeds. Its easy to check if your camera is sensitive to IR, point a TV remote at the camera lens and see if the camera picks up the flashing LED at the end of the remote when a button is pressed. If it is quite noticable and not faint then you should get good results when using an IR filter :)

Wanted to add, I see a little bit of grain in the sky if I look hard but don't see it as a feature per se.

Unique and surreal as only IR can do. Just amazing what it does to foliage. Nice job and I should add one of your best I've seen.. because of its originality. Others also good but not so striking. -tv

Man, I'm a sucker for this stuff. I like it a lot. Very ghostly. The grain in the ky is very good here; it complements the textured stone and leaves. -- Bruce

Cool IR! and with a recent Canon too. What filter would you recommend?

Would really like to see this one in a less subdued color, desaturated and a slight cold tone applied. And maybe the front brick walk darkened, just a bit.
