jano, IMHO, at first glance, (blured) background has nothing to do with negative space. I think it is more a composition thing. As I look on the image, the negative space is on the right side where all the lines of the image are pointing... but I agree with rod: I wished the background would look less busy and DOF would be even smaler. thanks jonny
IMO, the negative space just isn't here. For this topic, it just isn't working for me. I do love the DOF and the quality of this photo...but for negative space... no. For a DOF background to work in this challenge, it just barely needs to be seen. There is too much activity for me in this beautiful image. But yes, it is nice isn't it. jano

The background looks a bit hard, maybe noise so its not enhancing the subject for me. The makings of a nice shot here, well done Jonny.
