Lovely rich PP, like jade. And the new crop makes it looks even more like a National Geographic photo - nice work.

Bleeding L you cheated. I thought this was a sort of flash shot which made the water look black & it's all Photoshop, you naughty boy:-)

Here is the original shot. He is actually an albino gator:

Wow! What a change the additional space makes. Suddenly it is no longer safely contained. Much more visually menacing. -tv

Well done Bruce! Technical question - Did you have to create the black background and if so, how did you do it? And at only 70mm, was he posing for you! CJ

I like the way he is crawling into the picture from the side. Adds great tension to the black void.

I think this works a lot better for the topic & it seems to add a touch of menace as though the gator has just appeared. Looks gweat for me now:-)

He's very much alive, by the way. -- Bruce

Awright, awright . . . point made. I don't like it too much though. -- Bruce

The frame is too full of subject for wot I would call a neg space shot but it does look good a. Isit a real live gator Bruce or isit knackered & stuffed?

Striking image, Bruce. The desaturated color makes the alligator's skin look metallic like an alien creature. Well I guess it is. Great take on the subject and expertly rendered. -tv
