Great composition! :)
I don't particularly see the sky as surroundings, but I guess that'll be the grey area here. Nicely shot, Rod.

Really good, mate, and very nice minimalist approach here.

The comment just above yours Tommy from BMurf, he said he couldn't see any background & I should be banned for posting off topic shots.................I know I know, I do get overly dramatic:-)

Losing continuity in your comments Rod. Who said the sky wasn't a valid surrounding? As far as I'm concerned, I draw the line where the surroundings are not more than the area of the sign - preferably way more. The choice of what is shown is the artist's prerogative. -tv

Thanks Lee:-)

Thanks Tommy & BM:-) This is how I cropped it in camera knowing there would be just a tad more as the viewfinder is only about 95%, so I had to crop a little bit off the bottom. I'm always in BS Artiiiiiist mode BM but I thought the sky would be the surroundings as that's how short people like me view this every day:-)

Rod-

As such a stickler for topic rules, I was surprised to see this posting was yours. I believe it may be off topic. Where is the background??..... or were you just being an artiiiiist?:)

Perfect (in-camera?) framing. Naaa. Is it possible that your camera shows precisely 100%. Mine don't since the old Nikon F. Anyway, I find this very cartoony and humorous. Also, the simple form against the solid blue provides a field for visual afterimages and push-pull of the two saturated colors. -tv

Thanks RK:-) I'm not bothered by the titles as I think the picy should do all the talking & the viewers can attach their own meanings/titles.

Very cool. I like how you take this to the edge of the frame. Nice. -- Bruce
