Thanks Tom, I uploaded a lightened version. I expect the sign means something like "No to Laau". There was a point called Laau on one end of the island that was slated for resort development and the Molokai residents were protesting against it (there is very little tourism infrastructure there now). Thing is, many of them are unemployed and living on welfare money generated from the tourism industry on other islands. It is hard as a temporary visitor to figure out which option would give them the best quality of life and be fairest to locals on the other islands.

It jumps right out of the dark tree bark.. what does it mean? Did you do any pp on this. Seems a bit too dark on my monitor. -tv
