Thanks for the kind words, Vonnie, Charlie & Brent. LOL, Charlie, ... I think those are silicon crystals ":^) wiv wires to stabilize the tempered glass...did I say "I think"? Anyway, from a distance the panels look dark blue, closer up they start to look more blue and at macro-distance wiv the sun directly on them ...! Nice going Brent! Thanks again for the comments, -mikey

I was able to guess what it was by your hint in the title, though for some reason I would have assumes one of those panels would be green. Nicely done Mikey.

What I like about this image’s abstract nature is that, despite knowing what it is, I still can’t tell what it is.

Love the blues as well and the direction of the lines. Yvonne

It's like a big guitar that someones let Andy Warhol get at with a tin of paint. Abstract. Q.E.D.

Have a few more guesses Guest:-)

Thanks for the comments, Doug, CJ, Tom, TomD and Rod. CJ, take a bow. You are the a super sleuth! Got it on the first guess! The title and caption should have given it away if you had an inkling what Mikey is up to during the day (besides shooting picys). Yup, this is a photo-voltaic panel, up close and personal; blue and making electricity. This is probably the least treated photo I've ever entered in one of these challenges, Rod. Yeah, that's really what they look like from 3" away. I didn't realize that they had that texture on the inside of the cover glass, 'til I got it inside and looked at the picy on the monitor, but I guess the little ripple-dimples on the inner surface help disperse the sun's rays. Cheers gang, -mikey
Rod 26-May-2007 01:03
This looks like a total PS type picy but it's obviously not if you read your own topic guidelines:-) Excellent abstract mate.

Love the shades of blue & lines. Got me stumped on this one Mikey.

Talk about impact! Wow. Did you know that Yves Klein patented an intense shade of blue he called IKB (International Klein Blue) which he used in many of his monochrome paintings. Do you have permission? I love the tension created by the two competing patterns: straight lines vs. amorphous shapes. Whatever this is, it is brilliantly photographed with no variations of tone or lighting across the image, which is essential to make it work. -tv

Nice one Mikey! I like the diagonal lines, texture and the patterns of blue. Is this one of your solar panels? CJ

Lots of blue. Enough to make it electric for sure. I thought I was looking at the bottom of a swimming pool. -COAmature
