IMHO the fence is a distraction but the ripples make a wonderfully natural frame. Great shot except for trying to work in the fence.- tv

The geese were fairly close - they're not too shy as people frequently feed them but, since I didn't have food, they started swimming away! Thanks for commenting Doug! CJ

I like how the rock at the bottom of the picture makes us feel close to the waters edge. -COAmature

Thanks Barry and Aam. These geese mate for life and raise their young together. There were other geese couples with their goslings around but this couple was goslingless. I wonder what happened, maybe an animal got to their eggs. :-( CJ

Imo the fence adds so much to the lovely photo.

All I can do is echo what everyone else has already said! Well done!

Thanks Brent, Jammy and Rob! I walked all around the pond and this spot had the only opportunity to get a framed shot of the geese so I'm glad it worked out well. :-)CJ

Very clever using the fence as a frame. Normally, chain link fences hinder a shot but you made it work well here. I also like the simplicity of the shot and the wonderful colors. Very nice!

Magnificent!
Love the colours :).

I suppose we wouldn't normally display this shot with the OOF fence, but it does fit the topic quite well and to me it makes the geese look hyper clear and detailed- which is interesting. Beautiful scene CJ and well shot.

Thanks all! I don't usually do the oof fence shots but this one presented itself and since there was no other way of framing these lovely geese, I thought it would work for this challenge. :-) CJ

Carol, I agree with Paul. I bet we've all got shots with that OOF fencing diamond around the subject, and I don't think it adds anything to the image, esp. when the look of the water is as good as it is here.

This looks great CJ. Excellent framing here and lovely capture of these two geese.

Very good indeed, you just need to clone out the pesky fencing wire:>)

Wot an excellent calm looking shot & the fence colour & softness really suits the feel. It's a goodun Carole:-)
