I started over. The crop is tighter, and there is less brightness on the legs and shorts of the victim - I mean model. In addition, you can now tell what beer he was drinking. And yes, it was a bit cold that day, despite the apparent sunshine. I feel sorry for the poor guy who agreed to model for this shot. LOL

Nice idea Charlie. Maybe a bit too heavy on the PP. Perhaps try turning down the fill or opacity levels to lesson the effect? -COAmature

Couldn't have been all that warm or dry doing this Charlie; I was outside doing yard work in Seattle much of the same day and it wasn't all that pleasant. I think the processing works pretty well for this subject.

Many thanks, everyone. I am still in the “experimental” stage of learning post-processing. The PP step that gave this shot its sheen was the “watercolor filter.” I am not completely certain how I feel about the results. I am going to play with this some more, and see if I can improve the highlights.

I like the pp here as it takes what could be a mundane shot and pushes it over the edge with its high contrasty look. Well done. jano

Great concept for the lyric, Charlie! But I am not sure about your post processing treatment. It seems kind of harsh with lots of blown highlights. It does tend to convey how bright the sun must have been! ~Sharon
