Thanks, Rod. I toned down the skin tones on this version, and entered a separate Black & White version.

I just left a comment on the B&W shot but this looks a lot better now with some of the colour removed. It's a toss up now as to which one I like better.

Charlie the way the shot looks now I think it would convert over to B&W & look a lot better. The skin colours look over processed to me so converting to B&W would fix that & suit this subject matter better I think.

I made the skin tones a bit darker. Do you think it is an improvement?

BTW: I do appreciate the assistance.

Much better, Charlie! His face still seems a bit bright to me. Can you tone it down a bit without making the hat and beard darker? ~Sharon

Thanks for the suggestions, Sharon. I have given it a try. I agree that this is an improvement. What do you think?

This couldn't have been an easy picture to take, Charlie, and it shows a person who may be down but isn't quite out yet. The composition could be improved by cropping a lot of the hat out, so that his eyes end up a third of the way down from the top. It would be good to sharpen his eyes and darken the highlights on his cheeks, nose and chin too. Good for you for being brave enough to get this image. ~Sharon
