I really do like it better this way, Jano. To me, it just looks right, but of course it's your photo and you should present it whichever way you want. BTW the new crop is very good also.

Mary Anne - I rotated as you suggested (I never had considered that!), but then the body really looked out of place, so I then cropped. Do you like this version better? I find I like it just as well, just something different.

Thanks for commenting and the suggestion. jano

Jano, to me it just looks as if *she* was vertical when the photo was shot. Of course, the camera could have been turned any which way. It's still a lovely photo, esp. those eyes. (But have you tried rotating it to see how it looks as a vertical shot?)

Mary Anne, if you mean...was this rotated? No, it was not. Sorry if I misinterpreted. I believe I used this shot as the gallery header for "A View From Above"... jano

I agree MaryAnne - she was looking into the sun so I had little time to properly compose. I do like it though from my perspective as the eyes turned out wonderfully. It's different - perhaps not of the "norm" but a different and "one time" capture of her nonetheless. Thans for commenting. jano

It's a lovely shot, Jano, but I feel compelled to hold my head sideways to look at it because the way her hair is falling makes it look as if it should be a vertical shot.

Another shot from the same session is here http://www.pbase.com/jstrong/image/65617390. Taken in sunlight so could explain the glow to her face. Black background used. jano

Rod, there is no make up here - honest -, which amazed me. I might add, that this was taken right after she woke up...i think that gives her the blush she had .... it was last summer and we went outside, thus the unruly hair, and a sense of "where the heck am I?" :)

I really like the perspective in this shot it works great mate. I'm not so sure about the make up as it detracts from the great eyes for me.
