Thanks Sue Anne. Good question, as far as I know the sculpture is meant to be abstract and not representative of anything in particular- I think.

I like this - curious what does th scupture stand for?

You're killing me Lee! ;-) Actually, I like this version just fine and will let it stand as despite the elements in the bottom of the frame the color of the sculpture lends to isolation well enough- I think.

Now I see why. You may want to consider cropping the bottom. 8-)

Thanks Abs, checked out your link and can't help but think that sculpture was done by the same artist. Montreal is on my short list of places to visit next- especially with the dollar so weak against the Euro.

I like the red/blue contrast in the image and the placement of the boat is excellent.
btw this reminds me of the sculpture i saw in Montreal, Canada on St. Helene island.

Brent,
Do you have one with the base of the sculpture? This has nice contrasting colors. The kids were also a nice addition to the other one.

All right, I uploaded a new image from the same batch of the same thing...better?

That was quick Rod and Lee. Well it looks like I won't be amounting to much this challenge, the weather is terrible for shooting and I don't have much free time anyway. Thought I would post this one I took before the rain moved in to see what reaction it might get- oh well...thanks for the feedback.

I agree with Rod. Also that their feet are cut off does not help.

Wonderful light and color in this shot.

I really like the colour of the background but having an OOF tree either side I'm finding is disconcerting, blocking one out is easier to look at. For the isolated look the boat & people near the sculpture are not helping........................Well at least I liked the colour of the background:-)
