Nice one Jano. And I can see what Bill is referring to - a bit more tilt to the pin and a little more of the pin in the reflection on the vinyl might have been interesting, but a great shot regardless. CJ
This is such an original take. Everything about the main elements is special from the name to the little nubs on the edge. for some reasons my eye just feels it is too vertical. I wonder if you tried this with a landscape format with the pin way off center and a lot of side empty space. I want to look at this at original size to see all the pin detail but my monitor won't get it all in so a have to scroll up and down a bit or resort to viewing in medium and lose the detail. By far my favorite of this group so far.

Thanks MaryAnne for commenting. Although this is not a graphic at all, I'm pleased with the look and it what I had hoped for. As far as more stick pins, it would be fun to play around with the vinyl to see what different looks I could get. But for this conception, I intended only to use one to make the "point". :) jano
I like the somewhat abstract quality of this shot, Jano, and for this particular subject the graphic effect doesn't bother me at all. Have you tried playing around with the idea? You know, putting more stick pins in and shooting them under different kinds of light and with varying f-stops? It might be kind of fun to play around with.

Thanks Rod and Christina. Clear stick pin slightly pushed into a vinyl covered binder. I blurred the background to give it a smoother texture against the sharp contrast of the pin. jano
