Agree with Rod, this looks better.
Rod 25-Feb-2007 19:29
I would be tempted to call that a macro Brent, I like it a lot better:-)

Here is an alternate view of this plant that maybe clues you in more on how the plant looks overall (don't have a wider view on file).

Very interesting plant Brent - it dosen't look real! I like the two different triangles in the corners, adds "tension" but either way would look good. ;-) CJ

Would love to see another photo of this amazing plant. Can you do it Brent. No rush.

Thanks guys, yes it's a real plant that pokes me in the face going up the stairs sometimes :-) This is a pretty large plant and the leaves are about the size of a waist belt in width. The leaves are mostly smooth, but I noticed only on some leaves there were these strange puckers in small areas and I liked the shadows they created. I did try a crop Sharon and it would have maybe worked well for a "pattern" challenge I think, but I thought it made the image too abstract and unrecognizable as a leaf- thanks for the suggestion though.

Do you mean this is a real leaf? Waw, nature is amazing.
Rod 23-Feb-2007 08:41
Looks more like a ribbon cable out of yer puter:-) The plant looks a bit grubby for a macro.......I think:-)

Wow, what wonderful colors! Especially that red! Did you try a crop of this without the upper left and lower right corners? I find them a bit distracting. Really good macro! ~Sharon
