Thanks everyone for commenting. We had to bring all the flower arrangements back here after the funeral and these roses were especially beautiful. My sis suggested I xp with photographing them to raise my spirits, so I did. They are now scattered throughout the woods near the house. I must admit having them around didn't raise my spirits much...but this pic does have special meaning to me nevertheless now.

This was taken with natural light from the right. No flash. Supermacro on the Pro1. jano
