This one would have done well in the just finished body parts competition. I wish that the left hand were not so sharp and prominent in the foreground so that all focus would be drawn to the beautiful baby hand clasping the finger. Maybe next time.

Ah, interesting idea Mary Anne, but I actually really like the stripey fabric. I can try to reshoot it, but you know babies, they don't really stay in one place very often. And it's hard to get them to do something twice! I'm taking more picys of her tomorrow anyway, so we'll see what comes of it...

This is such a lovely image, but the striped fabric is distracting. If you can't shoot it again with a different background, I'd crop off as much of the stripes as possible without ruining the look of the hands.

Thanks guys! You're really making my day! I'm excited that you guys are happy with one of these shots. This one was shot 163 on the new camera. I hope by 500 I'll really be happy with what I'm getting. (At this rate that will be tomorrow maybe!)
