6th: Spark arrester by Bill Warren

I know what you are thinking: Not another one of those "hand stopping a barrage of metallic sparks" photographs. Well I just could not resist.

This shot took 2 people to produce with the camera mounted on a tripod and hand held, off camera fash. The metal sparks are coming off an old chisel held to an electric grinding wheel which is off camera to the left. Some of what you are seeing with the vertical and angled lines are spark ricochets off the hand.

Despite how it may look, the metal spark fragments were quite small and not painful--we could barely feel them.
