An anonymous post might lean your comments towards a put down, wot's your name? I agree wiv your throwing up comment:-)

Kinda makes me want to throw-up. I do enjoy the technique, but I cannot figure out what the center of interest is. It's not a put down, just an observation.

You can use any trick in the book if it helps the picy Tom but so often the trick is made the focal point of the picy.
The thing is you should try everything then if a shot needs something in the future you can draw on wot that something is. As Christine says have fun but the tricks of themselves are normally just a gimmick & not to be taken too seriously:-) I remember way back when, I read that one layer of fly screen gives four pointed stars on street lights in night shots & two layers gives eight pointed stars. I then made up a lens filter with the fly screens & all me night shots had these bleeding stars in, a great thrill at first but I soon learned that good night shots didn't need these cliche post card adornments, thank goodness:-)

I just didn't want him to discourage you from zooming again! It's fun!

thanks Jano, Christina and Rodbamm!!! (hehe) for your comments.
zooming in my opinion is worthy of consideration, in some situation it can help you out delivering a message.same as with panning, motion blur etc.
well,ok..maybe not this one..;)
lesson one: NO zooming with handheld ISO 1600 picys on ice.
Jano, let's see what others think.Anyone who thinks it's off topic is invited to move it in "pending".
there is no reason to ignore young Rod,since his comments are helpful and (sometimes) fun.
thanks
tom

This is cool Tom. Just ignore Rod, I usually do :) I think it's centered pretty well as what is in focus is dead in the center... Just my opinion though. Feel free to ignore me too!

This is really wonderful Tom in many respects as I can still make out the subject with those vivid zooming colors. I'm thinking that perhaps we need a little more space on the right to make this totally centered and am wondering what others think. I think it is darn close though and my eye is drawn to the center of the photo. Well done with your first time zooming!!!!! Love it really. jano
