This does look better RK - the softness just adds to the nice misty overall feel of the image. Very nice! CJ
Rod 15-Jan-2007 10:43
Looks much better now RK, well done:-)

Very nice find indeed. I really like the glow here and the softness doesn't bother me either. Yep, this does look better than the 1st version. Would only clone two of those red pixels and that one blue one.

Great find! I think softness is OK thanks to the mist.

Thanks all. Downloaded Neat Image and applied noise reduction. Need to play with it some more...

Yes, this spells darkness. The blue shade adds a lot IMHO. /Oved

This is so wonderful with just the shadows of the deer herd. My only wish is that it had less foreground and more background. Definitely a keeper in my book and an envious capture! Well done RK jano

Did you download the Neat Image profiles to suit your camera & different iso settings RK?
Brent 14-Jan-2007 04:24
Beautiful scene RK. I tried using Noiseware Pro on it (they make a free version- noiseware.com) and set to the "weaker noise" setting it softened slightly, but cleaned up very nice. The free version strips out your EXIF data, but PBase already has that info for this image so you can just update the image without losing it. You may want to give it a try.

RK, I tried the free version of "Neat Image" on this to reduce the noise but it ended up softening it too much - too bad as this is a very nice picture. Did you try one at ISO800? I rather like the bluish look to it though. CJ

Was tempted to convert this to BW as these kind of shots lend very well for the BW conversion. Decided to leave it the way I saw the scene.

Thanks Rich, sue anne rush and Rod.
Rich, I did spook them (even though I didnt want to)...this was taken on the way home from work...saw this sight (faintly)...thought will be a good fit for this challenge...pulled over.
Rod...need to invest in a noise suppression program like Noise Ninja....

Yes a great looking shot but its a real shame wiv the noise. Well done RK
sue anne14-Jan-2007 01:24
That is so dark and bluish - very nice deer capture.
Rich 14-Jan-2007 01:02
Looks like you just spooked them. I like the mist in the background providing some back lighting. Right on the darkness thing.
