7th: Alone * by Mary Anne

Holyoke, Massachusetts

This shot was hand-held, as I was approached by a security guard almost as soon as I stopped the car in the parking lot. So, I decided to forego the tripod and get out as quickly as possible. Even so, he had already swung by for a second look by the time I was leaving.

Canon EOS 350D
1/6s f/5.6 at 24.0mm iso800 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

This is a great looking shot. Kinda makes you think twice and cautious before heading off to your car, or at least makes you move it faster LOL.

Thank you, CJ and Brent.

Well done Mary Anne- nice ominous feel to it. If it's a legal public place I wouldn't let the security guard get in the way of your art. It probably gave him something to do before he headed for a doughnut shop :-)

I like the idea Mary Anne - kind of looks like someone might be up to no good here - no wonder the security guard came by! CJ

Rich, I drove around trying to find it last night, but no luck. I understand it was very low over the horizon, and with all the hills and trees around here, I couldn't get a clear view. The low clouds didn't help either. Did you see the shots on that link I sent? Some were pretty impressive.

Were you looking for that comet? All I found were clouds.

For some reason, I don't think spies would be driving a white car. ;-)

Glad you got out safely - this could be part of a spy movie. :)
