Lovely Armin, and it does have a painterly look to it, and I mean that as a compliment. It is nicely composed and the colors and textures look great! CJ

All's true: no filter applied, not a shot of a painting... and all what Rod's saying about 'photo realism' :o)
About the light: dunno why the exif import still reports 'no flash' - I used a common desk lamp reflected from a white card from the right to get the golden glow of the goblet, and a "2 stops(?)" intensity reduced flash from the left.

I think the title refers to the fact that people compliment by saying it looks like a painting which is derogatory I think, as is saying a painting looks like a photograph. There was or is a school of painting called Photo Realism & the tonal range & look the painter used was as we find in photos, it was very skilful but had no artistic point really, same applies to picys that look like paintings.....I think:-)
