Using the same settings on all photos will produce various results. Photos which have more detail will need more compression or a lesser quality setting. Doesn't mean though that there will be any noticable quality loss. Would usually try to recompress the shot before doing any extra cropping or resizing.
I really liked the bigger version of this shot. 480 on the bigger side deosn't do this one justice. It still is almost 300kb big so I reckon it's the compression factor that needs to be tweaked. The Kisses shot is almost there at 180kb and the pretty Pointing to Winter shot is at 200kb. I always checkout the saving settings for each photo and tweak it, so that takes care of most of the surprises, because I do get some once in a while :)
Hi Techo, Thanks for the size alert, you know I don't really understand, I almost always use the same settings when I post and occasionally shots are too big but usually they are not. Is it cropping? I appreciate the feedback, Yvonne
oh btw, very important note concerning the file sizes of all your 3 photo posts.
Please recompress them to under 150kb. Would hate to move any pics to pending. But I'll be checking the galleries again in the morning.
Thanks,
-Techo :)
A very nicely composed image. Finding a shot to frame in a pattern isn't easy and you've picked the right spot. I like how the green leaf is surrounded but the pink ones.
