Whewww - thank you Mary Anne for teaching me more about pp'ing. :)

Goes to show, the camera isn't always correct.

Good job, Sueanne. I'm glad my instructions made some sense. And I think the green looks fine.

Ok Mary Anne, re-pp agin (using the first thing you said)

A good thing I'm not color blind like my hubby or I wouldn't see what you are seeing ;)

Thanks and hope the green isn't too funky.

Yes the metal tank thingy does make this shot work better, well done Sue Anne. I've found overcast weather perfect for colour shots, from wot I can remember it was in the shadows on sunny days that gave a blue tint in me film days but haven't noticed that on overcast days.

This is so much more interesting than the other one. I really like that we've got the tarnished metal to the right and the moss and weed on the step. Very good. You can feel that flaking paint coming off under your nails if you rub your hand across.

OK Sueanne, the red looks more like a barn color now. However, the grays (in the weathered wood in the door frame and what I think is the side of a silo on the right) are looking purplish. You should be able to correct that by going to Enhance>Adjust color>Hue/saturation and then click to the right of Edit>Master to get the drop-down menu of the individual color channels. Then click on "blue" and reduce the saturation. If that doesn't work, click on "cyan" and reduce the saturation there. Just be careful not to reduce the sat too much, or the green may start looking funny. Hope I'm not driving you crazy!

Thank you CJ and Brent - I re PP again.

Brent this is a different view, more head on than the last one I posted - same barn door.

This looks very good Sue Anne. Sounds like CJ may be on to some ideas to make it look even better. You may want to give them a try. This is a different red door than you posted earlier right?

I like your red barn door Sue Anne and the green moss is great! This might benefit by an increase in contrast, adjusting shadows/highlights and sharpening a little. Good one! CJ

Thank you Mary Anne,

Yes taken this morning on a cloudy day and I did notice the pinker color at first. Thanks for the tip and I think this is more red er now . Thank you for pointing it out and how to adjust.

Sueanne, is the door really this pinkish color? Overcast days and shade tend to give reds a bluish tint, so I usually adjust the saturation and hue to make it look more like the true color. Of course, it might really be this color because the paint has faded over the years. It's your call.
