Thank you, CJ! Yes, the most difficult part when taking this picture was actually waiting long enough to get a whole thirty seconds with no boat on the Canale Grande—and no tourist on the bridge from which I was shooting—passing in front of my lens... ;-) — db.

Thank you, SPIDJ, for commenting. You are right: I showed this in one or two other challenges before. Do not worry, though: you will find further up in this very same gallery two «water»-pictures of mine that had not been in any challenge so far (I hope you like them as well...). I substituted, OTOH, this for the third one initially entered, simply because I consider it to be a much better image. — db.

Wonderful shot!
But u have to try to put also some other photos to the challenges.

I really like this shot too Daniel. It brings back fond memories of when I was in Venice a few years ago, but only for 2 days, and never saw it so still as this! The light reflections are very nice too. CJ

I love the quality of the light here. The colors are fabulous. The stillness of the water is breathtaking. Excellent!
